ChinaEU and UBTECH Robotics Announce Strategic Partnership to Advance Robotics Cooperation in Europe
Chengdu, 22 Oct 2026 – ChinaEU, the Brussels-based international association promoting cooperation between Europe and China in digital innovation and emerging technologies, and UBTECH Robotics, the first humanoid robot company listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in the European robotics market.

The partnership aims to facilitate the adoption of advanced robotics technologies across European industries by connecting UBTECH’s technological capabilities with European industrial demand, fostering commercial partnerships and exploring new opportunities for industrial applications.
Under the agreement, ChinaEU and UBTECH will work together to identify and develop business opportunities in selected European markets, with particular attention to manufacturing, logistics and other industrial and commercial sectors where robotics can contribute to greater productivity, operational efficiency and technological innovation.
Building on UBTECH’s existing European partnerships and distribution network, the cooperation will seek to broaden the company’s engagement with potential customers and industrial partners.
ChinaEU will contribute its extensive European industry network, institutional relationships and local market knowledge to facilitate business development, assess commercial opportunities and support engagement with prospective partners. The association will also help UBTECH better understand European customer requirements, technical integration needs and regulatory considerations, supporting UBTECH’s European market strategy.
Europe is a strategically important market for UBTECH. Through this partnership, UBTECH aims to establish a strong and reliable local partnership network at the heart of the European Union, working with ChinaEU to advance the deployment of humanoid robots and industrial robotics solutions. The collaboration will focus on serving a broad range of European industrial customers, including manufacturers, logistics operators and system integrators that are shaping the future of European industry, thereby contributing to the advancement of industrial intelligence across Europe.
“Europe has a strong industrial base and significant opportunities for the adoption of advanced robotics. Turning technological innovation into successful industrial applications, however, requires more than innovative products. It requires a deep understanding of local market needs, trusted partnerships and the ability to integrate new technologies into existing industrial processes”, said Luigi Gambardella, President of ChinaEU.”Through our partnership with UBTECH, ChinaEU aims to help bridge the gap between technological innovation and industrial deployment, creating new opportunities for cooperation between Chinese robotics companies and European industry.”

Looking ahead, the two parties may also explore opportunities for deeper industrial cooperation, with a view to fostering long-term industrial partnerships and expanding the adoption of humanoid robotics technologies in Europe.
The partnership reflects ChinaEU and UBTECH’s shared commitment to fostering practical and mutually beneficial technological cooperation between Europe and China in artificial intelligence, robotics and intelligent manufacturing, with a focus on translating technological innovation into real-world industrial applications.
